Day 22: more than 1.25 Billion Chicken wings... must be SuperBowl night!

Well well that's a lot of chickens!!! A WHOLE 612.5 MILLION OF THEM!!! In one weekend!!!. Mind boggling, at least for me.


The average American is estimated to consume at least 4 chicken wings tonight, now we know there are some who will consume more than that but let's try to keep things simple.



"The National Chicken Council (NCC) says that Super Bowl weekend is the biggest time of the year for wings. More than 1.25 billion wing portions will be consumed during Super Bowl weekend in 2012, totaling more than 100 million pounds of wings, according to the NCC’s 2012 Wing Report. 
If the wings were laid end-to-end they would circle the circumference of the Earth— more than twice—a distance that would reach approximately a quarter of the way to the moon, according to the NCC."
As my kids would say, Really? 
Really. 
Well, for my chicken wing eating lovers out there how about washing down some of that nice chicken fat with a nice pint of green smoothie (you choose what goes in it!) and sitting down to relax after "the game" by watching the film "FORKS OVER KNIVES". It might just change your life.

Morning: 6 oz of wheatgrass, cucumber, celery, garlic, ginger, pear, coconut water. 20 oz.
Lunch: 2 cups of hot water with Unpasteurized Miso.
Sipped through afternoon: Spinach, mung bean sprouts, carrots, celery, apple, lemon. 40 oz.
Afternoon: 4 oz of wheatgrass in 8 oz coconut water.
                   Cup of green tea.
Dinner: Red cabbage, spinach, cucmber, red chard sprouts, apple, lemon. 20 oz.
             Cup of green tea.
As I write: cup of hot water with Unpasteurized Miso.
